One-Day Itinerary: Elephant Experience in Siem Reap
7:30 AM – Pick-up from Hotel
Start your day with an early pick-up from your hotel in Siem Reap by your tour operator or driver.
8:30 AM – Arrive at Elephant Sanctuary, Arrive at a responsible and ethical elephant sanctuary (such as Kulen Elephant Forest or Elephant Sanctuary Cambodia). You’ll be greeted by the staff and given a briefing on the elephants and sanctuary rules.
9:00 AM – Introduction and Meet the Elephants
Learn about the elephants' history and behavior, and meet them in a natural forest environment.
10:00 AM – Walking with Elephants, Join the elephants on a forest walk. You can observe them foraging, bathing, or playing in their natural surroundings.
12:00 PM – Lunch Break
Enjoy a local Cambodian lunch provided by the sanctuary (vegetarian options usually available).
1:30 PM – Hands-on Experience, Help prepare food or take part in elephant enrichment activities. Some sanctuaries also offer mud baths or river bathing (no riding allowed). 3:00 PM – Farewell and Departure
Say goodbye to the elephants and return to the city. 4:00 PM – Arrive Back in Siem Reap
You’ll be dropped off at your hotel, with time to relax or explore more of Siem Reap in the evening.
